My Story
Rahul Pandey was born in Atrauli, a village in Gorakhpur district in Eastern Uttar Pradesh, India. He did his early schooling in his village and then he moved first to Prayag (Allahabad) and later to Jaipur for higher education. Rahul completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health from the IIHMR University Jaipur and he has been working in the field of public health for nearly 15 years. As part of his work and also due to hobby, Rahul has visited almost every state and union territory of the country. Rahul is currently employed with an international organization and works for the countries in South Asia and Africa. Poetry and ghazal writing are hobbies for him; he keeps on writing in his leisure time. Most of Rahul’s poems focus on contemporary topics, but from time to time, he has also written romantic poems. Rahul has the following opinion about his writings:
कभी थोड़ा कभी ज्यादा लिखता हूँ, कभी हल्का कभी गाढ़ा लिखता हूँ।
विचार तो आते हैं बहुत से, मगर, मैं अँधेरे के बदले उजाला लिखता हूँ।
Rahul has recently got his first poetry book “मेरे शब्द जाल” published (links for purchasing the book is available on this website). This website also has many of his still to be published poems that are available for reading and sharing. To ensure technical subjects are communicated to lay-persons in simple language, Rahul also writes on public health issues in Hindi and they are available on this website for further sharing.”
